Various tv, movie, and fandom things that have been pleasing me lately:

This is a drive-by post from Gallifrey One.  A full con report will follow, but I need to file a quick report on my moment of great fandom winning today.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I came with "I believe in Sherlock Holmes" badge ribbons.  I've now used 124 of the 125 I brought.  Of those, 122 are on the badges of assorted wonderful Doctor ( Read more... )

Gallifrey One is coming up this weekend!  I am bursting with excitement at getting to spend all weekend with fantastic Whovians.  One of the fun traditions at the con is giving or trading ribbons with slogans that people hang from their con badges (frequently in long trains).  This year I've ordered a stack of my own for a bit of fandom collision.

I'm at Gallifrey!  (The convention, not the planet.)  Driving here yesterday, a trip that should have taken maybe 4.5 hours, instead took close to 7 due to pouring rain and heavy traffic.  That really sucked, but now I am surrounded by people who speak my particular dialect of geek language.  I had fun confusing the people running the blood drive ( Read more... )
